A month ago, I went to Singapore Night Festival, or more like I was dragged along. My sibling wanted to see Shye perform in front of Peranakan Museum. And that's where I took these pictures! (because I was bored and didn't really want to be there) Btw none of these photos are edited.
At Peranakan Museum

There were these rainbow lights above the stage Shye was performing on and occassionally there would be this mist sprayed for a fog effect. You know that effect when you spray mist or even dust in a ray of light and you can see the particles being lit? That's what I was trying to capture. I like how it looks like the rainbow mist is coming from the lights. This is the only photo in this post that I didn't change the exposure on.

This has the same idea as the previous photo but when I took the picture, I maxxed out the exposure. This photo makes me feel like the something is going to explode and the world is ending.

There was this projection moving coming from above that was just orange but the maxxed exposure made it white with an orange outline. I have no idea whose legs those are but hey, the light made a cool effect.

I think this is the light where the projection in the previous photo came from. The increased exposure didn't do much against the night sky.

I zoomed in on this random streetlight in the distance and somehow the projection from the previous photo was like on my camera when I took it which made the photo orange. I think that's super cool.

I thought the bird in front of Peranakan Museum was tuff. I like how the maxxed exposure makes the background completely white (it was decently lit inside the museum). Sorry to the guy I accidentally took back there...

I was taking so many photos with increased exposure, I thought I should try decreasing the exposure instead. There was this arch thing in front of the museum entrance for the festival and some projections on it, this is part of that arch.

I saved my favourite for last. Exposure maxxed, of course. This is the building across the museum. (Edit : I believe this building is 36/38 Armenian Street) I took this on my iPhone 13 instead of my iPhone 6 like the other photos and I think the exposure effect is a bit different. On my iP6, nothing happened to the night sky when I increased the exposure. But here on my iP13, it turned blue! Also I have no idea what the faint rectangle in the sky is.
Elsewhere
After Shye's performance, we walked to other areas in CBD.

I took picture of this bus's number because I like the number 7 but I somehow managed to take it at the exact moment it switched displays! I was taking this in a rush so I tried to change the exposure but I don't know if I really did.

There was this stage in front of SMU where there was this large band/group performing. It was pretty hype but I have no idea who they are and we didn't linger there for long.

One of the stained glass windows on the CHIJMES main hall.
Tangent: The commercialisation of CHIJMES feels sacrilegious and I'm not even Catholic.

The CHIJMES main hall roof.
Tangent tangent: Why is CHIJMES pronounced "chimes". Where did the "MES" even come from anyway?? (For my non-Singaporean readers, CHIJMES was originally owned by CHIJ (Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus) It was a Catholic missionary from France that sought to educate girls, especially orphans.)

This was at Central Library. I don't think there was a good reason I increased the exposure here, I was just exposuremaxxing that night.
This wasn't exactly the first time I discovered I like increasing the exposure in photos, but I think this is the first time I really experimented with it. Honestly, the only reason I know how to increase the exposure because I learnt it in my story class which taught us some basic photography and videography. There may be many more exposuremaxxed photos to come... G'bye.
